Champagnat Day

On Friday 5 June, our school community gathered at St Michael’s Church in Remuera to celebrate our annual Champagnat Feast Day Mass

The atmosphere inside the church was warm and reflected a great community spirit. Members of the College Board, Marist Brothers, Students, Staff, and families filled the pews, participating wholeheartedly in the celebration of Marcellin Champagnat’s life and his service to young people.

Our student musicians led the congregation, lifting the roof of St Michael's with traditional uplifting hymns.

Student readers spoke with great clarity and conviction, reminding us how Marcellin Champagnat dedicated his life to serving others with love.

We also announced three new prefects, recognised for their leadership, character, and commitment to the College. We congratulate Hezza Al Nuaimi, Pharrell Hughes and Meleti Vakadranu on their appointments and look forward to their contributions in the months ahead.

A big thank you to Father Frank Bird, our celebrant; the musicians, and everyone who contributed to planning such a reverent celebration. As we head into the rest of the term, let us carry the spirit of St Marcellin with us; living simply, working diligently, and looking out for one another in the way of Mary.
